Bob Arthur

Robert (Bob) D. Arthur was born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario. Then he played and lived in Port Dalhousie. He has always had an interest, even a passion, for doing wood-working as a hobby. Building some furniture, a canoe and small Jigsaw puzzle boxes was his start.

After he and his wife, Karen, moved to Wainfleet, Bob started carving with the Heritage Carvers in 1998. His intention was to learn how to do carvings in the lids of his amazing multi-level Jigsaw Puzzle-Boxes.  He entered three carving shows and took 1st place in his classification. With these accolades, he was encouraged to carry on, and, carving had now become his passion in woodworking.

Bob is new to our Phoenix Artists Group joining in Spring of 2016. He does careful and detailed work of his own conception, “outside of the box” so to speak.  Bob and his wife now live in Port Colborne and he is looking forward, with great anticipation, to expanding his God-given gifts within the Phoenix Artists Group.

Bob can be contacted at 905 734 5670

Bob won Best of Show in his category at the 2017 Niagara Woodcarvers show.
